Summer weather is forecast from today until the midday hours of Sunday when we will then have dangerous gusts to the north and gusty northwest winds to the east and south which will significantly increase the risk of fire.

Except for a few local rains in the northern Ionian Sea and Epirus, the weather today and the rest of the days will be almost summery according to ERT meteorologist Panagiotis Giannopoulos. The temperature from today will exceed 30 degrees in the eastern mainland, while the winds in the Ionian Sea will blow south up to 4 Beaufort, and north in the Aegean up to 5 Beaufort.

The weather will change gradually on Sunday afternoon in Macedonia and in the evening in Thrace and the northeastern Aegean with thunderstorms, possibly locally strong. There the temperature will drop, in the rest of the country and on Sunday above 30 degrees. In Attica and Thessaloniki the weather will be generally clear. The temperature will reach 28 to 30 degrees Celsius.

From Sunday, things will change as a cold front will come from the north, dropping the temperature by 5 degrees, according to the director of EMY, Thodoris Kolydas.
