More than 30 countries, including the G7, signed the declaration from the meeting

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis participated in the meeting held on Wednesday in New York, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, in support of Ukraine.

The meeting was attended by leaders from over 30 countries, including U.S. President Joe Biden, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

In his address, Joe Biden said, “We remain committed to providing Ukraine with the resources it needs to emerge stronger than before. You are not alone in this fight.”

Zelensky referred to a new “Marshall Plan,” stating, “Today we are laying the foundation for a plan of similar architecture.”

The declaration from the meeting was signed by the leaders of over 30 countries, including the G7. Among other points, it stated that under international law, Russia bears the responsibility to pay for the damage it caused in Ukraine.

According to Reuters, more details about the support plan for Ukraine are expected to be announced later today.
