Robbery of cash delivery in Lavrio with a loot of 1 million euros

According to initial reports, the robbery occurred when the employees collected receipts from a large toy store and had previously picked up money from other companies. Four perpetrators threatened the employees with a weapon

Newsroom September 26 04:44

A robbery targeting employees of a private cash delivery company took place just before 4 PM in Lavrio. As per the information available so far, the employees had gathered money from various stores and were transporting one million euros. While they were collecting the receipts from a large chain toy store in Lavrio, they fell victim to the robbery.

According to the current reports, there were four perpetrators who had set an ambush for the cash delivery employees. Covering their faces, they threatened them with weapons and seized the money.

As of now, no further details regarding the circumstances of the robbery have been made public, and several questions remain unanswered, such as:

  • Did the perpetrators seize bags of money, or did they take the cash delivery vehicle?
  • Was the cash delivery vehicle picking up money only from the toy chain or from other businesses as well?
  • Did the bags of money have a dye explosion system that essentially destroys the money in case of tampering?
  • Was the route followed by the cash delivery vehicle standard, making it easier for the robbers to set up an ambush?
