Pygmalion Dadakaridis: His amazing transformation for the play “The Whale” – See photos

Tonight is the premiere

Newsroom October 16 07:46

The highly anticipated play “The Whale,” featuring Pygmalion Dadakaridis in the dual role of director and lead actor, premieres tonight at the Neos Akadimos Theatre. This theatrical work was adapted into a film in 2022 by Darren Aronofsky, featuring an outstanding performance by Brendan Fraser, which earned him the Academy Award for Best Actor that same year.

In the rehearsal photos, Pygmalion Dadakaridis’s transformation into an overweight man trying to reclaim his life is truly impressive.

“The Whale” was written in 2012 for the stage by Samuel D. Hunter and has been successfully presented in major cities around the world. It is a poignant, redemptive, human-centered drama about a man who has plunged into darkness and struggles to emerge into the light.
