Cinema day celebration 2024: Discounted movies today with €2 tickets

This initiative promotes cinematic culture and the shared experience of watching films on the big screen

For the third consecutive year, theaters across Greece are opening their doors today with all screenings priced at just €2 per ticket as part of the “Cinema Celebration.”

Some new releases available for viewing include “The Substance” by Coralie Fargeat (starring Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley), “Dahomey” by Mati Diop (winner of the Berlin Film Festival’s Golden Bear), “Black Dog” by Guan Hu (Best Film at Cannes’ Un Certain Regard), and “Crossing” by Levan Akin.

Audiences can also enjoy popular titles such as “Azrael,” “Deadpool and Wolverine,” “Joker: Madness for Two,” “Looney Tunes – Porky and Daffy Save the Earth,” “Smile 2,” “The Wild Robot,” and “Transformers One,” along with animated films like “Inside Out 2,” “The Secret in the Cellar,” and others.

Since its 2022 debut, this event has drawn over 110,000 cinema-goers, supported by major theater chains including Village, Cineplexx, Odeon, and Texnopolis.
