Irini Mourtzoukou will not leave for Germany, says her lawyer

Irini said she will leave Greece because she has been under terrible pressure all this time, said 24-year-old Voula Dimitriadou

Newsroom November 4 10:45

The decision not to go abroad after all was made by 24-year-old Irini Mourtzoukou, who “starred” in the case of the five dead children in Amaliada.

Specifically, according to her lawyer, Voula Dimitriadou, the 24-year-old will not leave for Germany, as had been known in the previous days.

With the investigation into the dead infants in Ilia and Patras ongoing, the news that 24-year-old Irini has booked a ticket to Germany has raised questions. “Irini said she would leave Greece because she has been under terrible pressure all this time, she had an invitation to go to work. I am telling you that she will not leave and she is at the disposal of the authorities if and when she is asked,” Dimitriadou told Star.

At the same time, the lawyer of Irene Mourtzoukou adds that the findings speak of pathological causes in the deaths of the babies, while ruling out criminal activity.

Panagiotakis t-shirt has been handed over to authorities, Paraskevi Dimitriadou says: “The production of this bracketed evidence was not properly communicated. Here we do not focus on the time of death, here we focus on the fact that the child presented a symptomatology with a lot of vomiting starting from the familiar. The T-shirt is not a child’s T-shirt, it is my client’s and was used to wipe away the vomit. It is not a reference point.”

What Irini Mourtzoukou had said about fleeing to Germany

Irini, 24, said last Friday that she plans to flee abroad.

On “Light at the Tunnel,” the 24-year-old said she had been planning to leave for several weeks, but could not because of the investigation. But as she said, “If they need me for anything, I will come down, of course.”

All the dialogue:

Angeliki Nikolouli: Somewhere we heard today that you have a ticket to go abroad.

Irini Mourtzoukou: Yes I was supposed to leave earlier but it happened.

Ageliki Nikolouli: So now you are planning to leave out? Go where? Germany

Irini Mourtzoukou: I was going to leave before we went up to Athens because I go every year and I’m going to leave now finally, since I’m back now.

Angeliki Nikolouli: Yes, but I’ll tell you something, if you are useful here in the investigations as they are going on and your testimony is important I guess for the authorities, for the prosecution, for the police;

Irene Mourtzuku: Yes, if they need me for anything, I will come down, of course.

Ageliki Nikolouli: If they need you, will you return from Germany here then?
