Newsroom November 6 12:50

The Kremlin’s spokesperson acknowledged Donald Trump’s victory in the U.S. elections but noted that he has no information on any plan by Vladimir Putin to congratulate the Republican politician.

Dmitry Peskov reiterated that the United States remains an unfriendly nation toward Russia.

Moscow is closely following developments and analyzing statements from American politicians concerning Russia, added the Kremlin spokesperson, noting that relations between the two countries are at a historic low.

Trump has previously supported Putin against U.S. intelligence agencies regarding allegations of election interference, advocated for halting aid to Ukraine, and repeatedly criticized NATO.

In his recently published book, veteran American journalist Bob Woodward claims that Trump and Putin have spoken up to seven times since Trump left the White House in 2021, with the most recent contact occurring this year.
