Driver behavior points added to gov.gr wallet

Penalty points for driver behavior monitoring system now accessible via digital platform

Newsroom November 20 01:07

As of today, drivers can access information about penalty points recorded in the Driver Behavior Monitoring System (SESOS) through the Gov.gr Wallet. This feature is the result of collaboration between Ministers Michalis Chrysochoidis (Citizen Protection), Christos Staikouras (Infrastructure and Transport), Dimitris Papastergiou (Digital Governance), and Deputy Minister Thanos Petralias (National Economy and Finance).

A new option, titled “SESOS Violations,” has been added to the digital driving license on Gov.gr Wallet. This allows drivers to view violations recorded in SESOS over the past five years, including notifications of license revocation.

The information is drawn from the Ministry of Transport’s “SESOS Penalty Points Certification” application via the Interoperability Center of the General Secretariat for Information Systems and Digital Governance. The data is instantly updated each time the user accesses the “SESOS Violations” option in their digital wallet. It includes all violations recorded in the last five years, regardless of whether they have expired.

It is emphasized that the penalty points shown in the Gov.gr Wallet for SESOS violations have no legal validity and are only for user information regarding their driving behavior.

The service was designed and developed by the Ministry of Transport, the General Secretariat for Information Systems and Digital Governance, and the National Infrastructures for Technology and Research Network (EDYTE S.A. – GRNET) of the Ministry of Digital Governance.

Drivers can install the Gov.gr Wallet app directly on their mobile phones via the App Store, Google Play, or the wallet.gov.gr website. The penalty points in the SESOS system are the 11th document type integrated into the Gov.gr Wallet. Other available documents include:

  • Police ID Card
  • Driving License
  • Digital Disability Card
  • Digital Unemployment Card (DYPA)
  • Athens Ring Pass
  • Vehicle Information (MyAuto)
  • Academic ID
  • Speedboat License
  • e-EFKA Insurance Status
  • Pet Ownership Certificate
