Lebanon: Hezbollah prepares the “official funeral” of Hassan Nasrallah who was assassinated by Israel

Hezbollah MP said today that the organization reserves the right to defend itself if Israel attacks

Newsroom November 27 03:34

A Hezbollah official said today that the organization is preparing for the “official and popular” funeral of its leader, Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed two months ago in an Israeli airstrike. Mahmoud Komati, a representative of the Lebanese organization and political party allied with Iran, made the announcement during a media tour in the southern sector of Beirut, Hezbollah’s stronghold, on the same day that a ceasefire with Israel went into effect.

“We postponed Hassan Nasrallah’s funeral in order to organize it in a way that he deserves,” Komati said.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah MP Hassan Fadlallah stated today that the group reserves the right to defend itself if Israel attacks. Fadlallah was responding to a question from a journalist with the Lebanese television network Al Jadeed, who asked about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s statement on Tuesday that Israel retains military freedom of action and will strike the organization if it violates the ceasefire agreement, which went into effect this morning.
