Tragedy in Xanthi: One of the four children found unconscious from the gas leak has died

A 16-year-old boy lost his life; the fourth child is hospitalized in Xanthi's general hospital. The gas leak occurred in a house in Magiko, Xanthi

Newsroom November 29 10:58

A tragedy unfolded Friday morning in Magiko Xanthi, where four children were found unconscious inside their home after a gas leak, while one of them, a 16-year-old boy, ended up in Xanthi hospital.

The children, who were reportedly sleeping on the lower floor of the house, were found unconscious by their mother, who was sleeping with their father upstairs when she went to wake them up.

Information from police sources reported by xanthinews said the area where the children’s bedrooms were located was suffocating, adding that work had been done outside the house the previous day to install a gas tank.
