A 19-year-old man was arrested on Sunday evening in Volos by officers from the Volos Crimes Investigation and Detection Subdivision, who had stolen a bag earlier that same day from an unsecured passenger truck.

As it was determined, the bag contained the amount of 4,270.51 euros, and the thief had hidden it in the basement of an apartment building in the area.

Volos Traffic Police officers found the bag and discovered that it contained part of the stolen amount, specifically 2,258.91 euros.

The amount was seized and returned to its rightful owner.

The investigation continues to locate the remaining money and to investigate any other individuals involved.
