Stavros Dimas receives 160 votes during the first round of elections

The vote in parliament has ended.

Stavros Dimas, New Democracy and PASOK’s presidential candidate received a total of 160 votes. This result means he has not been elected President of the Republic in the first round of voting.

Stavros Dimas was voted, besides ND and PASOK MPs, by independent members Spyros Lykoudis, Grigoris Psarianos, Katerina Markou, Christos Aidonis and Giorgos Davris.
