Condé Nast Traveler: Greek comfort food conquers London

Greek outposts are also present in two of the city's trendiest food markets

According to an article published by the prestigious Condé Nast Traveler magazine, Greek comfort food is the latest craze in the British capital, with bougatsa and stuffed vine leaves taking the place of burgers and lobsters rolls in the restaurant scene.

The article written by Rachel Howard specifically mentions three Greek restaurants, Opso, The Greek Larder and Mazi that offer traditional Greek cuisine with a modern twist.

Fish burgers in squid-ink buns with tomato jam, stuffed vine leaves with smoked eel and a modern version of souvlaki with thin pork-belly strips wrapped in rice paper are some of the dishes you will have the opportunity to taste in these three popular restaurants.

Greek outposts are also present in two of the city’s trendiest food markets, Broadway Market and Maltby Street. “Isle of Olive stocks hand-picked herbs by Daphnis and Chloe, and at Maltby & Greek award-winning wines are paired with delectable mezze,” writes CNT.
