Central Macedonia: The number of farmers participating in the mobilizations is increasing – The roads are still open

In five regional units they gather with their tractors - They tried to close the highway in Malgara - They were prevented by the police

A growing number of farmers are joining the mobilizations calling for a reduction in production costs.

More and more tractors are a mobilized on the roadsides without obstructing vehicular traffic while the presence of police forces is discreet.

In Central Macedonia, tractors are in five regional units.

In Thessaloniki, 45 tractors are parked at the exit of Nea Malgara on the old national road.

In Imathia, 32 tractors are parked at a junction in Alexandria and 14 in Naoussa at the intersection of Naoussa – Railway Station.

In Kilkis, 43 tractors have gathered at the Polykastro stadium and another 20 at the entrance to the city of Kilkis.

In Pella, 71 tractors are gathered at the Paralimni intersection and another 51 at Krya Vrysi.

Also 17 tractors are also at the 63rd km of Thessaloniki – Edessa at the junction of Gypsochori.

In Pieria 18 tractors are immobilized at the exit of Katerini.

Police prevented farmers from blocking the National Road at Malgara

Farmers in the area attempted to close the National Road at the Malgara bridge with their tractors late this afternoon, but were prevented by police forces.

As reported by GRTimes, farmers in Western Thessaloniki, at the Malgara blockade that joined the mobilizations, had decided to proceed with the closure of a stream of the Athens-Thessaloniki National Road and attempted to move there with their tractors. However, they were prevented by the police forces who are on the spot.
