Two planes were prevented from landing at Macedonia Airport and had to return to Eleftherios Venizelos airport in Athens in the morning of Christmas, due to the dense fog that envelopes Thessaloniki.

Visibility at runways at the airport is limited and many flights have been delayed.

More specifically, there is a delay in the departure of the flights from Thessaloniki to Lemnos, Moscow and Rostov in Russia.

Moreover, flights that have departed from Constantinople a few hours ago have not yet been able to land at Macedonia Airport.
