Di Carlo – Tatar: Detailed discussion in search of common ground on Cyprus

Following is the meeting of the UN Deputy Secretary-General with the Cypriot President

Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar met with the UN Deputy Secretary-General for Political and Peacekeeping Affairs, Rozmari Di Carlo.

According to the UN delegation in Cyprus, the two had a detailed discussion. Ms Di Carlo conveyed the UN’s commitment to efforts to find common ground between the two sides.

As noted, her meeting with Cypriot President Christodoulides follows. It is recalled that after her visit to Cyprus, Ms Di Carlo will hold meetings in Athens on 12 February and in Ankara on 13 February, for discussions on the Cyprus problem, as well as other key regional and global developments.

This afternoon, Ms Di Carlo will meet a group of women at the Leda Palace Hotel in the buffer zone in Nicosia.
