Cyprus launches first gas extraction in partnership with Egypt

The exploitation of the "Kronos" deposit is progressing

The Cabinet of the Republic of Cyprus is convening an emergency meeting regarding gas deals with Egypt.

Specifically, according to ERT, on February 17, Cyprus will sign its first agreement for the extraction and commercialization of the island’s natural gas through Egypt.

“This is one of the most important agreements in the history of the Republic of Cyprus,” stated the Energy Minister.
