1st adoption day of Pet City for 2025 at the Cat Festival

Unique stray cats seeking a home

Newsroom February 16 01:27

With great success, the 1st Cat Festival Athens continues for its second day, Sunday, February 16, at the Old Depot of O.S.Y. in Gazi.

As part of the festival, the 1st Adoption Day for 2025 is being held by Pet City. This Adoption Day is dedicated exclusively to stray cats from animal welfare organizations, all of which are looking for their forever homes.

The cats are all wonderful, with their names and details provided. Volunteers from the animal rescue organizations who saved and now care for them are on hand to inform potential adopters and anyone else who is interested. They share information about the cats’ needs and the importance of responsible pet ownership.

And here’s the wonderful news: As of now, there are over 51 adoption applications, which fills us with joy and optimism.

Pet City’s Adoption Days have become a tradition. From the very beginning, the public has warmly embraced this important effort. Everyone involved shares the belief that “You cannot change their past, but you can rewrite their future.”

The Cat Festival, with the motto “Curiosity celebrated the cat,” is an initiative by Cat Cafe Athens, the first Cat Cafe to open in Greece.

The main goal of the 1st Cat Festival is to raise awareness about the living conditions of cats, their well-being, and proper care. The primary aim is to change the way adoptions are conducted and streamline the process.

You’ll enjoy wonderful music by DJs, find lovely things to purchase for both yourself and your cat, and attend engaging talks with sign language interpretation, along with stand-up comedy to boost your mood even further.

Love cannot be bought, but it can be adopted! If you want to spend a day that’s unlike any other and adopt a lovable stray cat, come to the Cat Festival at the Pet City area today, Sunday, February 16, until 6 PM (the festival will close its doors at 10 PM).

And don’t forget: Life at home with a stray cat is the best life—for both you and her.
