Despite his condition, he left the ward where he was being treated in Dafni early Monday morning and went to the ward of the unfortunate 44-year-old woman, where he slashed her with the broken mirror and injured himself by the glass. He then went out into the corridor where he informed the nurses of his heinous act and disappeared before the police arrived.

The 47-year-old was arrested in the area of Skaramanga on Wednesday after a call from a driver who saw him walking on the Athens-Corinthos highway, often in the middle of the road where he was in danger of being run over by cars.

Finally, the Athens Prosecutor’s Office of First Instance has launched a prosecutorial investigation to investigate any criminal liability of the managers of the Athens “Dafni” psychiatric hospital regarding the 47-year-old’s hospitalization regime.
