Gathering in Rome for the two years of the Tempi tragedy

Mobilisations were also organised in Milan, Naples, Perugia, Lecce, Florence and Calabria

More than 150 people participated this afternoon in Rome’s Esquilino Square in a rally to mark two years since the tragedy of the Tempi tragedy.

“Fifty-seven souls seek justice” and “justice for the victims of Tempi” were some of the slogans on the banners.

At the same time, mobilizations with the participation of Greek permanent residents of Italy, students, and Italian citizens were organized today in Milan, Naples, Perugia, Lecce, Florence, and Calabria.

In the Eternal City, the gathering took place under the Royal Church dedicated to the Virgin, “Santa Maria Maggiore”, near the city’s main railway station.

The participants, through a series of interventions, called for immediate justice and read out the names of the fifty-seven victims of the train tragedy.
