Archbishop Anastastios: His will was read at the memorial service – To whom he leaves his deposits

Forty days have passed since the death of the late Archbishop Anastasios of Albania, and a memorial service was held today, Saturday, at the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ in Tirana, where his funeral was held.

After the memorial service, the will of the late Archbishop was read, in which, among other things, he states that he forgives those who have hurt him and asks forgiveness from those who he hurt.

The will also mentioned that the late Archbishop of Albania had no movable property and as for his deposits, he asked that half of them go to the completion of the Albanian Cathedral in Tirana and half of them for investments that will be used for the support of the salary of the clergy and for a youth support programs.

“I thank the Church of Albania for its unconditional love and dedication. My deposits as Archbishop belong to the Church of Albania. I ask the executors of my will that half of the money from my deposits be used for the completion of the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ in Tirana. The other half I ask that it be preserved and appropriately used to ensure that the income from these investments is used for the salaries of the clergy and for the development of youth programs by the Church of Albania,” according to the Albanian channel TOP10.

As for his personal belongings, as ERT reported, he left them to his immediate associates, while books were left to the library in Dyrrhachion (Durres).
