Olympiacos unveils grand plans for 100-year anniversary: Special jersey, documentary, choreography, new museum & drone show

Olympiacos has officially announced its extensive plans to celebrate its centennial anniversary, set for March 10, during a press conference on Tuesday (March 4)

Newsroom March 4 08:00

A Weekend of Celebrations at “G. Karaiskakis” Stadium

The club will host a series of events at G. Karaiskakis Stadium over the weekend, with ticket sales for the commemorative and season passes continuing on both Saturday (10:00-18:00) and Sunday (10:00-14:00).

During Sunday’s league match against OFI, a spectacular stadium-wide choreography (choreó) will cover the stands, while the venue will remain illuminated throughout the weekend’s festivities. Fans will also have the chance to take photos with the club’s trophies at a designated exhibition area. Outside the stadium, a fan park will be set up, resembling the experiences seen in major European competitions like the Champions League and Europa League.

Exclusive Centennial Jersey & Historic Tribute

In a special tribute, Olympiacos players will wear a limited-edition centennial jersey against OFI. The kit, meticulously designed by the club’s apparel supplier, features individually woven red-and-white stripes and incorporates the club’s original crest alongside the brand’s elite emblem—previously awarded to only a handful of clubs, including Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Juventus, and Arsenal.

This exclusive jersey will be released on Saturday, March 8, in limited quantities, with deliveries rolling out progressively. Additionally, at midnight on Sunday, as the club officially enters its 100th year, the city of Piraeus will be illuminated in celebration.

Drones, Commemorative Stamps & Global Documentary

On Monday, March 10, the Greek postal service will issue collectible stamps featuring the centennial emblem of Olympiacos. Later that evening, at 19:25, a breathtaking drone show will light up the skies over Piraeus, visible across Athens, while the city’s Municipal Theatre will be draped in the club’s iconic red and white colors.

A New Home for Olympiacos’ History

The celebrations extend beyond the anniversary, as Olympiacos prepares to inaugurate its new club museum in June—an ambitious project aimed at preserving and honoring its illustrious 100-year history.

With an unforgettable weekend ahead, Olympiacos is set to mark its centenary in spectacular fashion, ensuring that its legacy continues to shine for generations to come.
