Metlen Energy & Metals continues to strengthen its position in the renewable energy sector in Chile with the award of three new EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contracts for energy storage projects. This agreement is an important step towards the promotion of renewable energy in Latin America.

Specifically, METLEN signed three individual EPC agreements in early 2025, which provide for the implementation of a photovoltaic project with a total capacity of 190.5 MWp and over 2,500MWh in energy storage capacity (BESS). All projects are to be delivered no later than Q1 2026.

These partnerships strengthen METLEN’s position as a reliable EPC project contractor in the region, while demonstrating its ability to provide integrated and innovative energy solutions in the field of renewable energy projects and advanced energy storage technologies.

In addition to these strategic partnerships, METLEN is also advancing its own investments with the Mesembria project, a battery energy storage system with a capacity of 1,607 MWh expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2025, further strengthening its commitment to energy innovation and sustainability in Chile.

These projects will play a key role in achieving Chile’s energy transition goals, placing METLEN at the forefront of the renewable energy industry in the country, with a market share of nearly 30% in the energy storage sector.
