Russia: US provided ‘certain information’ on proposed ceasefire deal, Kremlin says

Dmitry Peskov emphasized that American negotiators are heading to Russia, and "contacts are expected"

Newsroom March 13 01:13

The Kremlin stated today that the United States has provided some information to Russia regarding the proposed ceasefire in Ukraine and will continue to do so during the upcoming in-person talks in the coming days.

American negotiators are en route to Russia, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov confirmed, though he refrained from providing further details.
“Negotiators are arriving by air, and contacts are expected,” Peskov said during his daily press briefing.

The U.S. envoys are expected to present Donald Trump’s proposal for a 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine, which Volodymyr Zelensky accepted a few days after U.S.-Ukrainian discussions on the matter took place in Saudi Arabia.

Peskov noted that Yuri Ushakov, foreign policy advisor to Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Mike Waltz, U.S. National Security Advisor, held a telephone conversation yesterday, Wednesday.

Additionally, the Kremlin spokesperson declined to comment on a Reuters report alleging that Russia had submitted a list of demands to the United States outlining the conditions necessary to end the war in Ukraine and restore relations with Washington.

Two individuals familiar with the matter told Reuters that Russian and American officials had discussed Moscow’s terms in face-to-face and online meetings over the past three weeks.

“I cannot confirm or comment on this,” said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
“I can only repeat that there is an enormous amount of information that does not correspond to reality—or, at best, only partially reflects it,” he added.
