56-year-old arrested for drug trafficking in Nea Filadelfeia – Over 3kg of heroin seized

A 56-year-old man was arrested in yesterday (March 20) at noon in the Acharnes area on charges of violating drug-related legislation

According to the Hellenic Police (ELAS), following an investigation into reports regarding the activities of an individual involved in heroin trafficking in the wider Nea Filadelfeia area, officers identified the suspect and confirmed his involvement.

Specifically, police officers spotted the man driving a vehicle in Acharnes and stopped him for inspection. During the initial search, a small quantity of heroin was found in his possession, and he was taken to the Drug Enforcement and Crime Investigation Department of Nea Filadelfeia – Nea Chalkidona for further examination.

Upon searching the vehicle, officers discovered a hidden compartment in the car’s hood, where they found and seized an additional 3kg and 50g of heroin packed in six nylon bags.
