The European Parliament (EP) is inviting guest photographers to take part in its photo competition, inspired by 2015 being the European Year for Development. Every month until September, the EP plans to announce a different topic linked to development. Young photographers are invited to send their photographs inspired by the theme of that month, along with the submission form on the EP’s site. Winners could be invited to Strasbourg to create a photo reportage.
How to take part
Candidates can submit their photo and entry form via email. The deadline for the first topic “Europe in the world” is Saturday, January 31, at midnight CET.
An editorial committee will select the ten best entries and then pick the winner of the month. This will automatically make them a finalist for the jury prize. At the same time, the ten best photos will be showcased on the EP’s social media pages where everyone can vote for their favourite. The most liked photo will be awarded the public prize. Both of these photographers will be invited to the plenary session in November 2015.
Photographs and application forms should be sent to the following address: [email protected].
