Alexis Tsipras attacks “scaremongering tactics” used by New Democracy party

The opposition leader stated that the ruling party is trying to use fear against the people

Newsroom January 13 03:43

The president of opposition party SYRIZA spoke of a scaremongering tactic against citizens.

During his speech in the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace prefecture, Alexis Tsipras  accused Prime Minister Samaras of trying to scare citizens. Speaking to his supporters outside the party’s voting center, Alexis Tsipras stated that Mr. Samaras and his followers are trying to “fool every social layer, with lies” and added that “The only thing they have not yet said is that SYRIZA will snatch up your children and take away your women”.

He continued by stating that “They go to Police officers and say that if SYRIZA prevails, they will lose the ability to carry weapons and after that, their jobs. They go to AEK FC supporters and state that SYRIZA will not build them a football stadium. They tell hunters that if SYRIZA wins, hunting will be abolished. They go to Christians and say that SYRIZA intends to ban religion and take down holy icons”.
