World-Class Cyclists and Teams

This year’s event features 20 teams, including two World Tour teams: Jayco AlUla and XDS Astana, as well as the national teams of Greece and Cyprus.

Among the standout athletes:

  • Dylan Groenewegen (Jayco AlUla), Dutch champion with 74 career wins and six victories in the Tour de France
  • Diego Ulissi (XDS Astana), an Italian cyclist with eight Giro d’Italia victories and 20 years of cycling experience

The XDS Astana team also features a Greek legend in its coaching staff—Vasilis Anastopoulos, alongside Kanellos Kanellopoulos, both former winners of the Tour of Hellas (2003 and 1981, respectively).

Beyond Sports: A Vision for Sustainability and Cycling Culture

As Deputy Minister of Sports Giannis Vroutsis highlights:

“The National Cycling Strategy, developed by three Ministries—Sports, Infrastructure & Transport, and Energy & Environment—aims to make our cities more sustainable, encourage citizens to integrate exercise into their daily lives, and promote alternative means of transportation. The PPC Tour of Hellas is more than just a top-tier sports event!

Cycling, the first love of every child, is a key tool for transforming our cities. Through the parallel activities of the PPC Tour of Hellas 2025, we educate the younger generation to incorporate cycling into their lives.”

Showcasing Greece on the World Stage

The breathtaking routes from Patras to Athens will highlight Greece’s natural beauty and cultural heritage, gaining international exposure.

The event, organized by Cycling Greece under the Ministry of Sports, represents a major step toward revitalizing competitive cycling in Greece and establishing the country as a global cycling destination.

Exciting Parallel Activities

The PPC Tour of Hellas 2025 is more than just a race—it is also a social event with multiple community activities. Throughout the five race days, spectators—especially children—will have the chance to experience exciting cycling events at the PPC fan zones, featuring interactive workshops and educational programs.
