Three new polls: ND shows slight rebound, Plefsi solidifies second place, PASOK slips further

The poll presented on OPEN shows that the vast majority of public opinion still has a negative view of the government's handling of the situation, but ND has braked its decline and is recovering marginally - Mitsotakis leads in the suitability with 21.4% and Zoe follows

Newsroom April 10 10:10

A new Metron Analysis poll for MEGA TV shows a 0.9% increase in New Democracy’s (ND) electoral strength. The ruling party now stands at 27.3%, up from 26.4% in March, approaching levels seen during the European election season.

Plefsi Eleftherías (Freedom Sailing) firmly holds second place with 15%, while PASOK continues to slide, dropping to 12.5% from 13.3% a month ago.

In fourth place is Hellenic Solution with 10.4%, followed by the Communist Party (KKE) at 8.3%. SYRIZA continues its decline, landing in sixth place at 6.9%, down from 7.3%. Voice of Logic hovers just above the parliamentary entry threshold at 3.1%, while Spartiates, NIKI, and New Left remain below 3%.

Public concern about rising living costs (akriveia) is also growing, now at 27%, up from 24% in March. Economic concerns also sit at 27%, while institutional trust issues—including the Tempi train crash—drop to 10%, down from 17%.

Government approval remains low, with 25% viewing it positively and 69% negatively. However, the ND’s rise is reflected in Prime Minister Mitsotakis’s personal ratings, which improved from 23% to 27%.

In contrast, only 9% of respondents hold a positive opinion of the main opposition, while 83% view it negatively.

In terms of political popularity, Zoe Konstantopoulou leads with 46%, followed by Dimitris Koutsoumbas (37%) and Kyriakos Mitsotakis (32%). However, when it comes to suitability for prime minister, Mitsotakis maintains a 15-point lead over Konstantopoulou (26% vs. 11%).

Nikos Androulakis, leader of PASOK, sees a significant drop in popularity, losing seven points.
