US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, warned today that Syria may be weeks away from a “civil wide-scale war“, days after the US government leadership met with Syria’s transitional authorities.

“In fact, we believe that, frankly, the transitional authority, given the challenges it faces, is weeks, if not months, away from a possible collapse and a large-scale civil war, which means the disintegration of the country,” Rubio told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
