Who made it into the Parliament, and who didn't

SYRIZA ''transfers'' Theodora Tzakri and Rahil Makri In the areas of Pella and Kozani achieve top ranking in votes - Olga Kefalogianni and Vasilis Kikilias are ahead in the first electoral district of Athens in support of ND - Kostas Zouraris with ANEL makes it in Parliament, while Terence Quick didn’t make it

Dozens of candidates fought tooth and nail against one another in several constituencies. The prize is a seat in the new Parliament.

According to the latest reports in the morning, in the lead for SYRIZA in Athens’ first election district is Zoe Konstantopoulou, while running first for ND is Olga Kefalogianni, followed by Vasilis Kikilias, Dora Bakoyanni, Nikitas Kaklamanis and Fotini Pipili.

In Athens’ second election district, the top vote-getters for ND are Kyriakos Mitsotakis, followed by Nikos Dendias and Adonis Georgiadis.

Angela Gerekou failed on the island of Corfu after switching to ND, aStefanos Gikas has a commanding lead amongst ND voters.

Conversely, another recent ND recruit, former Democratic Left MP Vasilis Economou was assured of a return to Parliament, given his high placement on ND’s state deputies list (candidates are elected based on a party’s general vote, and not individual votes in districts).

Additionally, outspoken MP Rachel Makri won her re-election hands down as a SYRIZA candidate in the prefecture of Kozani, NW Greece, after her eventful course as a deputy for the Independent Greeks and then as simply an independent.

The same goes for Theodora Tzakri, a former PASOK cadre, in Pella prefecture of north-central Greece, who easily won re-election.

In western Greece’s Aetoloakarnania prefecture, SYRIZA gets two seats (tbe same as 2012), ND 2 and Golden Dawn, PASOK and KKE one each.

From early hours Monday Giorgos Varemenos had “locked up” a seat for SYRIZA, while the battle for second was between Dimitris Duros and Maria Triandafullou.

In Argolida prefecture in southern Greece, Yiannis Adrianos from ND along with Dimitris Kodelas and Giorgos Galeos or Yiannis Shinas one seat each.

A seat each for either (K. Vlassis, A. Lykourentzos or Evi Tatoulis) from ND, (K. Zaharias or  A. Gianouli) from SYRIZA and O.Konstantinopoulo in Arcadia from PASOK.

In Arta, SYRIZA gets two seats, one Alexis Tsipras and oneOlga Gerovasili. However, if the leader of SYRIZA chooses the A’ Athens, then Vasilis Tsirkas will take the seat instead. Giorgos Stylios is in the lead for ND.

In Achaia SYRIZA gets three seats, the first to Vasilis Hatzilabrou, the second to Maria Kanellopoulou and the third one will either go to Athanasia Anagnostopoulo or  Evangelos Katsakoulis.

ND gets one seat with Andreas Katsaniotis in the lead. One seat for ANEL as well with Nikos Nikolopoulos, one for KKE(Nikkos Karathanasopoulos),one for the POTAMI (Iason Fotilas or Ilias Gotsopoulos) and one seat for Golden Dawn (Mihalis Arvanitis-Avramis).

In Viotia SYRIZA gets two seats (Yiannis Stathas and Athanasios Skoumas in the lead for the second one). One seat for ND (Yiannis Karabelas or Evangelos Basiakos).

One seat constituency for Grevena most possibly for ND (  Timoleon Kopsahilis).

In Drama, one seat for ND(Dimitris Kyriakidis), one for SYRIZA (Hristos Karagianidis) and one for the POTAMI (Kyriakos Harakidis).

So far, in the Dodecanese SYRIZA gets four seats (I. Kamateros, N. Santorinios, D. Gakis and Maria Valatsou). ND gets one seat (M. Konsolas or I. Pappas or V. Ypsilantis or M. Iatridis).

In Evros, ND gets one seat (Anastasios Dimoshakis) and SYRIZA gets three (Y. Kaisas, Anastasia Gara and D. Rizos).

In Evia, SYRIZA gets five seats (Evangelos Apostolou locks one, while there is battle for the remaining four.) Simos Kedikoglou is in the lead against Kostas Markopoulos for the seat of ND.

SYRIZA most likely to get the one seat constituency in Evritania (Thomas Kotsias).
