It looks like a perfect weekend for swimming, nature walks, and excursions, as a distinctly summer weather pattern sets in, with sunshine prevailing in most areas and minimal risk of thunderstorms.

According to early meteorological estimates, afternoon weather instability will be significantly reduced during the weekend, while northerly winds will blow at up to 6 Beaufort in the Aegean Sea. In the interior regions of mainland Greece, maximum temperatures are expected to range between 36°C and 38°C.

The summer weather is expected to continue even after the long weekend, hinting at a warm start to June.
