Weather: Thursday to Sunday the hottest days – Up to 36°C in Athens

Detailed forecast from EMY

Newsroom June 3 04:52

A severe heatwave is expected to affect most parts of the country over the next few days, with temperatures peaking from Thursday through Sunday.

Despite the peak this four-day period, high temperatures will persist through Wednesday, June 11, maintaining intense heat conditions across much of the territory, according to Thodoros Kolydas.

In fact, as the meteorologist points out, the temperature in Attica is expected to reach 35 to 36°C, while in the mainland the thermometer will climb even higher, reaching 37°C in places. The highest temperatures will be recorded in the interior of the mainland, in areas far from the sea breeze that acts as a natural regulator. On the contrary, in coastal areas the maximum will be up to 3-4 degrees lower.
