An intense 48-hour bad weather is expected to hit the country, with heavy rain and thunderstorms, as well as enhanced wind chills of up to 7 Beaufort.

The worsening weather will start from the mainland and last for two days (Friday and Saturday), according to maps by EMY director Thodoros Kolydas.

A significant 48-hour warning of severe weather is set to affect the country, bringing heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and strengthened northerly Meltemi winds reaching up to 7 Beaufort.

According to forecast maps provided by the Director of the National Meteorological Service, Thodoris Kolydas, the weather will begin to deteriorate over the mainland and persist for two days—Friday and Saturday. A new weather system may impact the country starting Monday, June 23.

A noticeable shift in weather conditions is forecast for Friday and Saturday, with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms mainly over mainland areas.
