Zelensky announces future agreements with the US – Yulia Sviridenko is the new Prime Minister of the country

The Ukrainian president has entrusted the new government with control of the defence contracts in force as part of the effort to produce 50% of the country's weapons and field equipment in the country

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, today announced unspecified future agreements with the US, which he said would strengthen his country, during his appearance in parliament today on the occasion of his government reshuffle.

The Ukrainian president said he would give the new government control of the defense contracts in place as part of an effort to produce 50% of the country’s weapons and field equipment in Ukraine.

Today, Ukraine’s 450-seat parliament ratified the appointment of Yulia Sviridenko as prime minister, with 262 votes in favor.
