The instability and midday showers will continue in several areas today, but will mainly affect northern Greece, according to Kostas Lagovardos.

According to a meteorologist – director of research at the National Observatory of Athens, instability will be more limited today, mainly in the central and southern regions. It is not excluded that there will be some rain, some showers, also in the north of Attica. From Wednesday onwards, however, the phenomena will stop in most areas of the country and the temperature will gradually rise towards the end of the week.

For her part, MEGA meteorologist Christina Rigou in her forecast notes that the weather will be initially clear, but in the north from the morning clouds will develop and it will rain lightly in central and eastern Macedonia. From early afternoon, showers and sporadic thunderstorms will start in most of Macedonia and Thrace. In the rest of the mountainous mainland and in Evia, clouds are forecasted in the afternoon and at noon and in the afternoon local showers and showers will occur. However, in the late afternoon the weather will improve in most areas.

In Thessaloniki, clouds are forecast with local rain and possibly thunderstorms in the west and north. The winds will blow from the northwest and after noon from southeast directions 2 to 4 Beaufort. The temperature will range from 22 to 34 degrees Celsius.

The weather on Wednesday, August 20

Generally clear weather. Local clouds with a chance of rain in the midday – afternoon hours in eastern Central Greece, Thessaly, central and eastern Macedonia and Thrace.

The winds will blow in the west west west northwest 3 to 5 Beaufort and in the east from the north with the same intensity in the eastern Aegean Sea locally 6 Beaufort.

The temperature will not change significantly and will reach in most areas 30 to 32 degrees Celsius, locally in the central mainland 33 to 34 and in the Sporades and Cyclades 28 to 30 degrees Celsius.

The weather on Thursday, August 21

Generally clear weather with a few occasional clouds in the north in the midday – afternoon hours.

Winds will blow in the northern Ionian Sea from southerly directions 3 to 4 Beaufort and in the rest from northerly directions 4 to 5 and in the Aegean Sea locally up to 6 Beaufort.

The temperature will rise.

The weather on Friday, August 22

In the northern Ionian Sea and the northwestern mainland clouds are forecasted in the morning hours with the possibility of local rain until noon and gradually clear. In the rest of the country generally clear weather with a few occasional clouds in the north in the midday – afternoon hours.

Winds will blow in the northern Ionian and northwestern Aegean from southerly directions 3 to 4 Beaufort. In the rest of the Aegean Sea from northern directions 4 to 5 and in the southern Aegean Sea locally up to 6 Beaufort.

The temperature will rise slightly further.
