The body of a woman was recovered this morning by the Hellenic Coast Guard at the port of Piraeus, triggering an alert.

According to reports, passengers on Pier E8 spotted the woman’s body floating in the sea and immediately notified the Coast Guard, which then retrieved her.

The woman is believed to be around 50 years old, though her identity remains unknown.

After being collected by a Coast Guard vessel, her body was transferred to Tzaneio Hospital.
