Reactions in Kos to AADE’s “I’ll Take You on a Cruise” Operation

Lawyers representing local business owners and shipowners argue that the information released does not reflect reality

Newsroom September 18 05:20

Reports in the media, accompanied by photos and videos of day-cruise boats in Kos, have sparked backlash following AADE’s “I’ll Take You on a Cruise” operation, during which inspections were carried out on these vessels.

According to the attorneys of local entrepreneurs and shipowners, the information presented in public debate “does not correspond to reality” and is described as “baseless and unsubstantiated.” They stress that such reports tarnish the image of the island’s professionals without any official findings having yet been released by the competent authority.

The lawyers note that AADE’s inspection is still ongoing and insist that the final outcome “will fully vindicate” their clients. They emphasize that prematurely publicizing data before the completion of the process creates false impressions and damages the credibility of local businesses.

At the same time, they warn that legal action will follow against those who, with “groundless and defamatory claims,” undermine the professional reputation and interests of their clients.

The same sources add that defending their reputation extends not only within Greece but also abroad, where they conduct business activities.
