Giorgio Armani’s two mega yachts to debut in Monaco, acquired by Greek-Cypriot investor

The dream of the great master of world fashion was to design an ultra-luxury yacht that would bear his signature entirely - Who is Kostas Kleanthous who acquired them

Newsroom September 22 01:26

For years, Giorgio Armani‘s vision has been to bring Armani’s design philosophy to the luxury yachting industry. A project that the Italian fashion mogul realized by creating two mega yachts, 72 meters, the result of an exclusive collaboration between the house and the Italian Sea Group.

The project combines the complete exterior and interior design of the yachts by Armani himself. Their exteriors are characterized by clean, geometric lines harmonizing with curved surfaces, while the interiors by Armani Casa highlight and enhance the designer’s aesthetic philosophy. The result is a harmonious synthesis of stylistic sophistication, advanced technologies, and naval excellence, designed to redefine the standards of high-end luxury yachts.

A timeless influence in the fashion world, Giorgio Armani himself described the project as a personal creative outlet: “The sea and drawing are two of my greatest passions. With this new collaboration, I have extended the idea of decoration and furniture to the nautical world, where, as in fashion, aesthetics and functionality coexist naturally and elegantly.”

One of the first people who shared Giorgio Armani’s vision to extend his talent to the sea was the businessman Kostas Kleanthous. That is why he was the one who bought the two mega yachts Armani, which will be presented in a few days at the Monaco Yacht Show. The first yacht has already been completed and is in the test boat phase, while the second is moving into the final construction phase.

Alongside his business activities abroad, he has also invested in iconic projects in Cyprus, such as hotels and media, while through the Cleanthous Foundation, he supports social and charitable activities, with the Foundation’s top planned project being the construction of a new state-of-the-art Pediatric Oncology Clinic in Nicosia. Now , it is expanding its business in the luxury yachting sector with the addition of two unique Giorgio Armani signature yachts built by The Italian Sea Group.

What’s outstanding is that he went along with Armani’s vision by encouraging him to sign off on every last detail.
