Unsettled weather with local rain and fog in the coming days – Slight drop in temperature in the north

On Tuesday the weather will be mild but from Wednesday rains, thunderstorms and winds are expected

The weather will gradually change over the next few days, mainly toward the end of the week, according to the National Weather Service (EMF).

On Tuesday, conditions will remain generally fair in most regions. However, from Wednesday onward—and especially toward the weekend—showers, passing thunderstorms, and strengthening winds are expected.

Temperatures will fall slightly in the north but will stay close to seasonal averages elsewhere.

Tuesday, 14 October 2025

General Features:

  • In the southern Ionian, the Peloponnese, and western Crete, clouds will bring local showers.
  • Early in the morning, isolated thunderstorms may occur in the eastern Peloponnese.
  • Elsewhere, mostly clear skies are expected, with some clouds developing over the mainland at midday and in the afternoon, possibly causing brief rain in mountainous areas.
  • Morning and evening visibility will be locally reduced, especially in western regions, where fog may form.

Winds: Variable and light, mainly northerly at 3–4 Beaufort; up to 5 Beaufort in the southeast.
Temperature: Little change. Highs of 23–24 °C across most areas and up to 25 °C in the Dodecanese.

Macedonia & Thrace

Mostly clear with occasional clouds in the afternoon and evening, with a chance of light rain in mountain areas.
Winds: Variable 3–4 Beaufort, turning north-northwest in the morning.
Temperature: 9–23 °C (2–3 °C lower in western Macedonia).

Ionian Islands, Epirus, Western Sterea, Western Peloponnese

Generally clear with some clouds at midday and afternoon; isolated showers possible in mountainous areas.
Winds: Variable 3–4 Beaufort; in the Ionian, north-northwest of similar strength.
Temperature: 12–24 °C (6–18 °C in the interior of Epirus).

Thessaly, Eastern Sterea, Evia, Eastern Peloponnese

Mostly clear with occasional clouds developing during midday and afternoon; brief mountain showers possible.
Winds: Variable 3–4 Beaufort.
Temperature: 11–24 °C.

Cyclades & Crete

Partly cloudy, with local showers mainly in western Crete.
Winds: Northerly 3–5 Beaufort.
Temperature: 17–23 °C, locally up to 24 °C in Crete.

Eastern Aegean Islands & Dodecanese

Generally fair.
Winds: North to northwesterly 3–5 Beaufort.
Temperature: 15–23 °C, locally 17–25 °C in the Dodecanese.

Attica

Mostly clear.
Winds: Variable 3–4 Beaufort.
Temperature: 14–24 °C.

Thessaloniki

Mostly clear.
Winds: North-northwesterly 3–4 Beaufort, becoming light and variable in the afternoon.
Temperature: 10–22 °C.

Wednesday, 15 October 2025

Cloudy in the eastern mainland, Sporades, Evia, and Crete, with local rain and isolated thunderstorms from midday—mainly in the north.
Elsewhere, partly cloudy with scattered showers in the west during the afternoon.
Morning fog is possible, especially in western regions.
Winds: Variable 2–3 Beaufort in the west; northerly 3–5 Beaufort elsewhere, up to 5 Beaufort in the Aegean.
Temperature: Slight drop in the north, with highs of 19–21 °C in the north, 22–24 °C elsewhere, and up to 25 °C in the Dodecanese.

Thursday, 16 October 2025

In the Ionian and most mainland regions (except Thrace), cloudy with local showers. From the evening, rain will intensify in the west, with isolated thunderstorms.
Winds: East-southeast 4–6 Beaufort in the west, north 3–5 Beaufort in the east.
Temperature: Little change.

Friday, 17 October 2025

In the Ionian, Epirus, western Sterea, and northwestern Peloponnese, clouds with showers and thunderstorms, possibly strong in the northwest.
Elsewhere, cloudy with scattered showers developing from midday.
Winds: East-southeast 5–6 Beaufort (7–8 Beaufort in the Ionian); in the east, north 4–5 Beaufort turning southeast later.
Temperature: Little change.

In the west, north, and eastern Aegean islands, clouds with showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected, weakening later in the day.
Elsewhere, thin clouds at times become denser, with a chance of local rain.
Winds: South-southwesterly 4–6 Beaufort in the west (turning west-northwest later), 4–5 Beaufort in the east.
Temperature: Slight rise in southern regions.
