German airline company Lufthansa announced that it cancels its Friday small and medium distance flights, in the framework of the new strike announced by the pilots’ syndicate. The amount of flights cancelled reaches 700.

84,000 passengers will be affected by the strike, according to the company.

Affiliates of the Lufthansa group, Germanwings, Eurowings, Swiss Air, Austria Airlines, Air Dolomiti and Brussel Airlines will not be affected by the strike.

Regardless of the strike, Lufthansa is also expected to cancel 90 more flights due to the strike of air traffic controllers in Italy.
