Kasselakis on Tsipras: He’s homophobic; Betty didn’t understand what Tyler said in English about the children at Maximos — Watch the video

Stefanos Kasselakis responds to Alexis Tsipras regarding the former Prime Minister’s comments in his book Ithaca, about the current leader of the Democracy Movement

Newsroom November 24 05:48

Among other things, Tsipras describes Kasselakis in his book as a “punisher with an angelic face.”

In his response, posted on Instagram while wearing a shirt with the word “Equality,” Kasselakis predicts that Ithaca will turn into the “Titanic” of Tsipras’ rebranding efforts. He accuses Tsipras of trying to “take him down” twice when Kasselakis was the elected leader of SYRIZA — succeeding the second time “at the bouzouki club,” as he puts it.

Kasselakis also accuses Tsipras of a “crescendo of homophobic gossip.” He clarifies what was really said between Betty Baziana and Tyler McBeth.

“Alexis claims that my husband, Tyler, asked his wife, Betty, how they should raise their children at Maximos.”

“Obviously,” Kasselakis continues, “Betty’s English is a bit worse than Alexis’, since Tyler was actually asking her what it was like raising their children while they were at Maximos.”
