Trump Doctrine in 33 pages: An end to mass migration, the EU faces cultural annihilation, restoring US dominance in Latin America

The Trump administration has released a document on the National Defense Strategy, in which it predicts the cultural elimination of Europe - Top priority: ending the war in Ukraine

Newsroom December 5 05:59

The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump released a document regarding the “National Defense Strategy,” warning Europe of cultural elimination and stating that it seeks to restore American dominance over Latin America, as well as declaring that the “era of mass migration” must end.

There is a risk of the cultural elimination of Europe, the document says, which was released overnight from Thursday to Friday by the Trump administration. “If current trends continue, the continent will be unrecognizable in 20 years or even less,” it emphasizes.

The document also lists as one of the United States’ main priorities the resolution of the Russian-Ukrainian war. “It is a primary national interest of the United States to negotiate the rapid cessation of hostilities in Ukraine in order to stabilize European economies, prevent accidental escalation or expansion of the war, restore strategic stability with Russia, and, after hostilities end, ensure the reconstruction of Ukraine so that its survival as a viable state is secured,” it states.

According to the document, the Trump administration disagrees with European officials who have “unrealistic expectations for the war.” “The vast majority of Europeans desire peace, but this desire does not translate into policy, mainly due to the undermining of democratic processes by these governments. This is strategically important for the United States, precisely because European states cannot proceed with reforms if they are trapped in political crisis.”

The 33-page document also calls for “the restoration of American dominance” over Latin America and announces a “realignment” of American military presence around the world, “to address urgent threats in our own hemisphere and to withdraw from theaters whose importance to U.S. national security has diminished in recent years or decades.”

Washington also states that “the era of mass migration must end. Border security is a key element of national security,” it stresses, at a time when Trump has greatly tightened U.S. immigration policy.

“We must protect our country from invasions, not only from uncontrolled migration, but also from cross-border threats such as terrorism, drugs, espionage, and human trafficking,” the document continues.

At the same time, the United States calls on Japan and South Korea to do more to support Taiwan’s defense against China.

“We must encourage these countries to increase their defense spending, with emphasis on the capabilities needed to deter adversaries” from attacking Taiwan, the document says.

“Loss of national identity” in European countries

“It is more than likely that, within a few decades at most, NATO members will be predominantly non-European,” the document states, adopting the “great replacement” theory, which it links to migration.

Supporters of this theory, including the Trump administration, argue that elites are planning to reduce the electoral power of white Europeans by opening their countries’ doors to migrants from the African continent — specifically from Muslim-majority countries.

“It is legitimate to wonder whether these countries will view their place in the world or their alliance with the United States in the same way as those that signed the Alliance’s founding treaty,” the text continues.

The White House goes on to denounce European decisions that “undermine political freedom and sovereignty, migration policies that transform the continent and create tensions, censorship of freedom of expression and suppression of political opposition, declining birth rates, and the loss of national identities.”

Washington expresses hope that “Europe remains European, regains its cultural confidence, and abandons its fruitless obsession with regulatory suffocation.”

The American document, which devotes only a few paragraphs to U.S. strategy in Africa and the Middle East, aims to redefine the entirety of diplomatic and military policy in light of geopolitical developments in recent years.

Border security

Emphasizing efforts to increase the U.S. energy supply, the document argues that the “historical reason” the United States focused on the Middle East “will diminish.”

The document also calls for “the restoration of American dominance” over Latin America and announces a “realignment” of U.S. military presence around the world “to address urgent threats in our hemisphere and withdraw from theaters whose importance to U.S. national security has decreased in recent years or decades.”

Regarding China, the document reiterates calls for an “open and free” Asia-Pacific region, but places greater emphasis on economic competition.
