Milla Jovovich turns 50: “What an incredible journey — It feels like I’ve lived so many different lives”

The actress marked her 50th birthday with a heartfelt social media post, reflecting on a life filled with transformation, gratitude, and creative reinvention

Newsroom December 17 10:33

Milla Jovovich has officially turned 50, and instead of looking back with nostalgia alone, she chose to celebrate the milestone by sharing a deeply personal reflection with her followers.

Taking stock of everything she has experienced so far, Jovovich expressed gratitude for both the bright moments and the difficult ones, spoke openly about how she has changed over the years, and made it clear that she’s excited for whatever lies ahead.

In her Instagram post, she wrote:

“The big 5-0! What an incredible journey it’s been. I feel like I’ve lived so many different lives over the past 50 years. So many eras have come and gone, so many versions of myself — and I’m still evolving. I’m deeply grateful for the good, the bad, and everything in between. For the explosions and the quiet moments, for the extraordinary and the everyday. Each has its own magic.”

The actress also highlighted how central family is to her happiness:

“Thank God for my family, my ‘tribe’ — the one I was born into and the one I built and chose along the way. You all know who you are.”

Looking ahead, Jovovich said she feels energized by what the new decade might bring:

“I’m truly curious about what this decade is opening the door to. I’ve changed so much over the years, and one thing I know for sure is that there’s always something new to learn, something fascinating to explore. The ability to change course and transform is what keeps the creative fire alive.”

She closed her message with a powerful note of gratitude:

Thank you to God, the universe, my parents, my family, and my friends — for loving me, being patient with me, knowing I’m ‘all or nothing’ and still showing up. I am truly blessed, and I know it.”
