Alternate Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura said on Monday that the government plans to give emphasis in helping small and medium-sized tourism enterprises. Meeting with the Confederation of Businessmen of Rented Rooms & Apartments in Greece, she said that the ministry will secure all available EU and national funds, as well as create special programs focused on giving incentives to small and medium-sized tour operators.
Kountoura noted that Social Tourism and Tourism for All programs should be expanded. She said that a “new modern and flexible institutional framework to support entrepreneurship, on subsidies for modernisation and personnel training, on integration into NSRF programmes, on tourism for people with disabilities and the elderly.”
