They Draw & Travel was created by Nate Padavick and Salli Swindell, a brother and sister design and illustration team, who have created hundreds of magazine and book illustrations, thousands of greeting card designs and super cool maps. Each map is a one-of-a-kind illustratio highlighting off-the-beaten path sites and activities that are local favorites.

Anyone is free to submit a map from anywhere in the world… Here are some of the Greek submissions.

Demie Demie from Norway found Hydra a great place to “Swim, Pray and Love” as well as ride a donkey.

PAROS
The map by the site’s creator, Nate Padavick, takes visitors on a tour of the isle, kicking off at Paroikia.

PELION
Anna Prigkipaki writes: “The Pelion region (at Thessaly towards the Pagasitic Gulf) is known as the home of the Centaurs and the summer playground of the Olympian gods. The Pelion region was known as the ‘healing mountains’ because the slopes were prolific with both medicinal and magical plants. ‘Healing waters’ flow in the crystal clear mountain streams. Pelion is the home of Chiron, the most famous of the Centaurs, known for his healing and mentoring.”

RETHYMNO, CRETE
Olga Oilikki from Moscow takes visitors on a tour of Rethymno, kicking off at Arkadiou Street, filled with summer and autumn memories.

SAMOS
Lou from Switzerland lived in Samos for two months and submitted a map that starts off from Pythagoreio Samos.

SANTORINI
LU Yu from China drew a map with highlights from the isle.

SERIFOS
New Yorker Joanna Chrysohoidis’ map of the isle of Serifos takes you on a tour from the moment you step of the boat!
