In his first reaction after the airstrikes in Caracas, Donald Trump announced the arrest of Nicolas Maduro.

In a post on Truth Social, the U.S. president said that the leader of Venezuela was together with his wife and that both were transferred out of the country.

Maduro and his wife were arrested early Saturday morning by members of Delta Force, the U.S. military’s top special operations unit, according to information provided by American officials to CBS News.

The elite Delta Force unit was also responsible for the 2019 mission that led to the death of former Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
