Eurovision 2026: What the betting odds suggest about Greece’s song choice

Given the decisive role of the public in the semifinals and the particularities of the live process, the picture may change up to the very last moment

Newsroom January 19 04:54

The betting odds have already begun to shape an initial picture of which artist and which song are leading the race for Greece’s representation at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Although the process is still ongoing, the data so far clearly reflect which entry is considered the favorite and which are following closely behind.

At the top of bookmakers’ predictions is Akylas with the song “Ferto”, gathering a 40% chance of victory and odds of 1.85. This is a clear lead, indicating that, at the moment, it is considered the most likely scenario for representing Greece.

The odds suggest not just a lead, but a relative sense of certainty regarding the choice of both the public and the juries, always based on current betting data.

4. Akylas – Ferto | Sing for Greece 2026 – 1st Semi-Final

In second place follows Good Job Nicky with “Dark Side of the Moon”, with a 29% probability of winning and odds of 2.55.

The gap from first place is not negligible; however, his entry remains a strong contender, especially if the balance shifts in the semifinals or if the song’s momentum with the public strengthens further.

12. Good Job Nicky – Dark Side of the Moon | Sing for Greece 2026 – 2nd Semi-Final

Third in the predictions is Marseaux with “Hanomai”, at 15% and odds of 5.

Although she is noticeably behind the top two favorites, she still maintains a significant presence on the betting map, leaving room for upsets, especially in a process that relies heavily on the popular vote.

8. Marseaux – Hanomai | Sing for Greece 2026 – 1st Semi-Final

Further back are Evangelia with “Parea” (4% – odds 20) and Zaf with “Asteio” (1% – odds 50), who, according to the odds, are currently considered outsiders.

However, in a Greek final with strong public participation, such assessments could be overturned, particularly if there are strong live performances or a significant impact on social media.

5. Evangelia – Parea | Sing for Greece 2026 – 1st Semi-Final
6. ZAF – ASTEIO | Sing for Greece 2026 – 2nd Semi-Final

A total of 28 songs are participating in the process.
14 will compete in the 1st Semi-Final on Wednesday, February 11, and the remaining 14 in the 2nd Semi-Final on Friday, February 13.

From each semifinal, 7 songs will qualify for the Final, exclusively through the public vote, a factor that makes real-time momentum and audience response a critical parameter.

The Grand Final will take place on Sunday, February 15, where the winning song will be selected through a combination of the public vote and two juries, one international and one Greek. The winning artist will secure the ticket to Vienna, where the 70th Eurovision Song Contest will be held.
