Alexandra Papadopoulou, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Türkiye’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Mehmet Kemal Bozai, met today in Athens and held the 5th round of bilateral consultations in the framework of the Political Dialogue established between the two countries in 2023.
The Deputy Ministers discussed various aspects of bilateral relations, reviewed developments since the last meeting of the Political Dialogue held in Ankara in June 2025, and had an extensive exchange of views on recent developments in regional and international issues.
“The two deputy ministers also reviewed preparations for the 6th High Cooperation Council, which is scheduled to be held in Türkiye during the coming period,” while “the meeting was held in a positive atmosphere, with both sides reaffirming their shared commitment to further expand bilateral and international cooperation,” according to the Joint Statement issued after the meeting.
