The key issue of the territories of eastern Ukraine will be discussed by delegations from Ukraine, Russia, and the United States at the trilateral meeting to be held today in Abu Dhabi, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced.
“The issue of Donbas is a key issue,” President Zelenskyy said during an online press conference, adding that it will be discussed “in Abu Dhabi today and tomorrow,” while clarifying that Ukraine’s European partners will be informed about the outcome of the trilateral talks.
Speaking with journalists via the WhatsApp platform, Zelenskyy stated that Moscow’s proposal to use frozen Russian assets to rebuild its own territories—primarily the Kursk region—is “nonsense,” adding that Kyiv will fight to be able to use all frozen Russian funds to finance the recovery of Ukraine itself.
